The way for people to change their body composition is to change the energy balance of energy intake and energy expenditure. Imbalance between energy intake and energy expenditure can lead to obesity, which is associated with increased morbidity and mortality. In contrast, sustained weight loss significantly reduces the increased overall mortality rate. Exercise strategies have been largely implemented to change body composition. Additionally, nutritional strategies also have the potential to improve body composition parameters. Importantly, it is of significance that the combined methods of exercise and nutrition can effectively prevent obesity or control body weight.
Exercise, mentioned here, includes physical activity and refers to various types and methods of exercise such as aerobic exercise, anaerobic exercise, and long-term intervention. Along with this, nutrition includes amino acids, ginseng, red ginseng, beetroot, natto, garcinia, and capsaicin, which can be used as exercise supplements in addition to various nutrients. Therefore, we pursue the synergistic effects of various exercise types and nutritional supplements for weight control of obese, patient and general populations.
Body weight control is an important task for everyone, regardless of age and gender, and a major problem facing our society today. Therefore, research on the synergistic effect of the two is urgent.
Therefore, we welcome the following contributions:
• Synergistic effects of exercise and nutrition for weight control
• Effect of various nutritional supplements for body weight control
• Effects of exercise and nutrition prescription in patients with various metabolic diseases
• Exercise and nutrition strategies for weight control
• Weight control strategies through nutrition and exercise for obese people
• General people's and athletes’ weight control strategy through nutrition and exercise
• Synergistic effect of exercise and nutrition for the respiratory circulatory system
This Research Topic aims to consolidate new lines of research related to exercise and nutrition, and to establish the impact of these factors on weight control synergies. We welcome the submission of papers on the issues mentioned above, with a particular focus on original research in which all researchers investigate exercise and/or nutrition for weight control.
