About this Research Topic
This new era will improve the early diagnosis of cerebrovascular diseases and degenerative diseases. Beside this, in acute care, the decision-making process will be more accurate with ultrasound, reducing morbidity and mortality.
This Research Topic of Frontiers in Neurology aims to consolidate the use of the ultrasound in neurological disorders.
We encourage the submission of scientific papers (original research, reviews, perspectives, etc.) focused on ultrasound technology with clinical applicability for diagnosis and therapeutic uses following, but not limited to, the themes below:
(1) Diagnosis and monitoring of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke
(2) Diagnosis and monitoring of intracranial pressure
(3) Diagnosis and monitoring of Parkinson’s Disease
(4) Diagnosis and monitoring of Hydrocephalus
(5) Diagnosis and monitoring of traumatic brain injury
(6) Biomarker and pre-clinical tool for early diagnosis of neurodegenerative disorders
(7) Biomarker and pre-clinical tool for cerebrovascular prevention
(8) Intervention for neurodegenerative disorders
(9) Application of artificial intelligence on brain ultrasound
(10) The role of ultrasound in predicting treatment response and prognosis in brain diseases
Keywords: ultrasonography, diagnostic imaging, diagnostic ultrasonography, neurology daignosis, doppler therapy
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
