With increased numbers of administration of vaccines all over the world, so do increase the reports of adverse vaccine reactions. Many people refrain from vaccinations for themselves or their children, not so much due to these reports as to the information on internet. These observation becoming increasingly noticeable during this year, in relation with the reported adverse COVID-19 vaccine allergic reactions. Adverse allergic reactions to vaccines can stem from an allergy to the vaccine or its components. Despite being of low incidence, allergic reactions to vaccines could be fatal (e.g. in the case of an anaphylactic reaction).
In this Research Topic, we aim to not only address the epidemiology of adverse vaccine reactions, but also explore their possible causes, either factors related to the vaccination procedure (e.g. contact with latex, skin disinfectant) or due to certain components of the vaccine (food, antibiotics, macrogols etc.)
