With the advancement in technology, more and more research can be conducted in a realistic setting with greater ecological validity and involves complex processing. Perception, cognition, working memory and actions, may have all been integrated into these studies. In the past decades, there have been extensive studies on each of these processes. However, the interactions and interplays of these processes have not been fully understood.
In this Research Topic, we would like to encourage the studies from the perspectives of perception, cognition, working memory, and actions, as well as its interactions among the different processing. Particularly, we are interested in the transition between these processes and the interactions of them in solving real-life questions.
This article collection will focus on basic psychological research to address the real-life questions from the multiple perspectives of processing. The final aim is to reveal the interactions of perceptual, cognitive, and memory processing. Therefore, we welcome submissions that address the following fields/topics:
• Perception such as the face, motion, emotion processing
• Multisensory processing, audio-visual, language processing
• Cognitive processing
• Working memory
• Action and behavioral responses
