The Spanish Society for Developmental Biology (SEBD) aims to promote scientific activity and disseminate knowledge in the area of Developmental Biology. The main goal of the society is to foster exchange of knowledge within the community of Spanish and International Developmental Biologists. In addition, the SEBD promotes dissemination of the knowledge generated in the field of Developmental Biology back to the society.
Within the scope of the SEBD’s activities, a yearly meeting is held. This year, the
17th Meeting of the Spanish Society for Developmental Biology aims to gather our researchers to discuss the new trends and challenges in the field. The Meeting also aims at giving a unique opportunity for younger researchers to network, exchange ideas and be inspired by top-level keynote speakers in an international environment.
More specifically, the Scientific Program of the meeting includes the current understanding on Evolutionary Developmental Biology (Evo-Devo), Neurodevelopment, Cell Biology in Development, Growth & Scaling of organisms, and advancements in Genome research, Regeneration, Self-organization and Development & Disease. Sessions will be entirely dedicated to current, state-of-the-art research. In addition, round-table sessions will offer the opportunity to informally debate current issues in journal independent peer-review. Finally, our Science in Society Workshop will take Developmental Biology and its role in society to groups of secondary school students from across Spain.
This Research Topic aims to collate the latest research, ideas and discussion arising from the meeting and welcomes contributions in the form of full-length original research articles, methods papers and reviews, as well as brief research reports, mini-reviews, perspective and opinion pieces. A full list of accepted article types, including descriptions, can be found at this
