As the COVID-19 pandemic has quickly spread around the world, it has impacted cities and transportation networks in significant ways. There is an urgent need for interdisciplinary research that addresses issues related to human mobility, infrastructure, supply chain/logistics issues, integrated mobility models due to COVID-19.
The goal is to assemble a list of high quality journal articles that provide solutions for Covid-19 impacts and control the spread in cities. The SI seeks articles from all areas of cities - including data driven modeling, citizen science, resilience etc.
We seek high quality original papers through this special issue from scientists, researchers, policy-makers, decision-makers and others working in academia, government, industry and humanitarian assistance organizations.
The special issue will consider the following topics:
- Impacts of COVID-19 on human mobility
- Human behavior effects on COVID-19 spread and vice versa
- Vulnerability Modeling
- Connections between epidemics and travel behavior
- Impacts of critical goods distribution
- Resilience of cities to pandemics
- Supply chain issues
- Disparities of impacts (based on race, age, gender and income)
- Other related topics
