Medical imaging is an important tool for risk assessment, early detection, and therapeutic monitoring of abdominal cancers such as liver, pancreas and luminal gastrointestinal cancers. Various CT, PET, MRI and endoscopic techniques have been developed in recent years for assessing abdominal cancers.
This Research Topic will include recent advances in imaging technology related to abdominal imaging, particularly on early detection and early prediction of the response to therapies.
We will accept Original Research and Review articles focussed on the following topics:
1) Faster and free-breathing acquisition technique
2) Comprehensive biomarker quantification for tissue characterization
3) Metabolic imaging
4) Molecular imaging
5) Multimodality imaging
6) Quantitative MR Imaging
7) Tumor Response Criteria for Follow-up of Gastrointestinal Cancers
