This Research Topic will cover the state of the art of animal model data collection, the development of new methods and tools for the analysis of animal models’ large data sets to produce high-quality atlases from population data, implementing translational studies, aiming to deepen our understanding of human psychiatric pathologies and diseases via their manifestation in different animal models
We will welcome articles contributing to the construction and dissemination of animal model atlases; the dissemination, curation, and description of publicly accessible and open data on animal models for the needs of the research community; the development of innovative data analytic methods and pipelines; as well as case studies and research reports regarding the use of animal models in translational research. Animal model data that are to be considered include, but are not limited to, data arising from research in the following fields:
1. Genomics and genetics
2. Neuroimaging and neurology
3. Histology and microscopy
4. Animal behavior and zoology
This Research Topic is dedicated to the late of Dr. Jeremy Ullmann, a promising and talented researcher specialized in the analysis of epilepsy in animal models and a keen developer and adopter of state-of-the-art data analytics tools with strong expertise in imaging technologies.
