In recent years, fluorescent carbon-based nanomaterials have attracted considerable attention among the scientific community because of their unique physicochemical properties. In particular, carbon-based nanomaterials are extensively utilized for sensing and bioimaging applications. The increased interest in fluorescent carbon-based nanomaterials is related to several important factors, such as low cost, nontoxicity, source abundance, and simple synthesis.
This Research Topic will cover recent progress in the preparation and applications of fluorescent carbon-based nanostructures for bioimaging applications.
This Research Topic will address themes that include, but are not limited to:
- Novel carbon-based nanomaterials for bioimaging
- Carbon-based nanomaterials for in-vitro cells imaging
- Metal-doped carbon dots/nanoparticles for applications in MRI, CT, etc.
- Upconversion carbon-based nanomaterials for bioimaging
It is our pleasure to welcome researchers to submit their original work to this Research Topic. Prospective authors are encouraged to submit their manuscripts in the form of review articles, original research papers, and perspectives.
