University of Colorado Boulder and Frontiers form open access publishing agreement

We are delighted to announce that the University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder) has established an institutional membership agreement for open access publishing with Frontiers.  The University of Colorado Boulder supports its researchers in making their research more widely available. As part of this support, the University of Colorado Boulder Libraries have entered an institutional agreement with Frontiers. Under the terms of this agreement, eligible authors from CU Boulder may publish in any Frontiers journal at no cost to the author.  To be eligible, a publication’s corresponding author must be affiliated with the University of Colorado Boulder.   Eligible authors will benefit from a streamlined invoicing process, managed directly between Frontiers and the University of Colorado Boulder Libraries, relieving authors of the responsibility of payment. Furthermore, the University of Colorado Boulder Libraries will benefit from a membership discount on processing charges for articles covered by this agreement.  This agreement will further encourage CU Boulder authors to publish open access, enabling broader access to the results of mostly publicly funded research, while at the same time reducing overall costs.  Information for authors:  To submit your article under this institutional agreement, please select “University of Colorado Boulder” as institutional payer in the invoice section when submitting your article. Durham University has joined the Frontiers – JISC national open access deal

We are delighted to announce that Durham University has joined the national open access deal agreed between Jisc Collections and Frontiers. Durham University supports its researchers in making their research more widely available. As part of this support, Durham University Library has entered into a discount agreement with Frontiers. Under the terms of this agreement, eligible authors from Durham may publish in any Frontiers journal and there will be a 10% discount to the cost of the APC – only where the remainder of the fee is to be covered by either the UKRI Open Access Grant Award or the Wellcome Trust Open Access Grant Award. The benefit to you, as an author, is a simplified process for indicating who will make the payment for your invoice and ensuring that the invoice is sent to the Open Access Team. Eligible authors are: Authors who have already confirmed with the Durham Open Access Team that existing UKRI or Wellcome open access funding is available to them to cover the remaining costs of the APC. Queen Mary University of London supports its researchers in making their research more widely available.  As part of this deal, eligible authors may publish in any Frontiers journal at no cost to them and with a simplified process. Eligible authors will benefit from a streamlined invoicing process, relieving authors of the responsibility of payment. The Vestre Viken Hospital Trust (Vestre Viken HF) supports their authors in publishing open access. As part of this support, the Vestre Viken will cover Article Processing Charges (APCs) for eligible articles centrally for their eligible authors. Furthermore, the Vestre Viken will benefit from a 10% membership discount under the terms of the UNIT Open Access Publishing Framework Agreement. Eligible authors are corresponding authors affiliated with the Vestre Viken Hospital Trust. As part of this support, the NGI will cover Article Processing Charges (APCs) for eligible articles centrally for their eligible authors. Furthermore, the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute will benefit from a 10% membership discount under the terms of the UNIT Open Access Publishing Framework Agreement. Eligible authors are corresponding authors affiliated with the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute. Frontiers and Malmö University form open access publishing agreement

Malmö University (Malmö universitet) supports their authors in publishing open access. As part of this support, Malmö University will cover Article Processing Charges (APCs) for eligible articles centrally for their eligible authors. As part of the Sweden Open Access Publishing Framework Agreement, Malmö University will benefit from a 10% membership discount. Authors are asked that during article submission the corresponding author’s Malmö University institutional email address is used.
