Frontiers and the University of Rostock form open access publishing agreement

We are delighted to announce that the Universität Rostock (University of Rostock) has established an institutional membership agreement for open access publishing with Frontiers. The University of Rostock supports its researchers in making their research more widely available. As part of this support, the University of Rostock has entered an institutional agreement with Frontiers. Under the terms of this agreement, eligible authors from the University of Rostock and Rostock University Medical Center may publish in any Frontiers journal at reduced cost to the author. The amount of coverage is dependent on funding restrictions from the university. Eligible authors are corresponding authors affiliated to the University of Rostock or Rostock University Medical Center. Eligible authors will benefit from a streamlined invoicing process, managed directly between Frontiers and the Open Access team at the University of Rostock Library, relieving authors of the responsibility of payment. Furthermore, the University of Rostock, the Rostock University Medical Center and their Library will benefit from a discount on article processing charges for articles covered by this agreement. Frontiers and the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences, GIH form open access publishing agreement

The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences, GIH (Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan, GIH) supports their authors in publishing open access. As part of this support, eligible authors from GIH will benefit from a 10% discount under the terms of the Sweden Open Access Publishing Framework Agreement. Eligible authors are corresponding authors of a given article employed by GIH. Information for authors: To submit your article under this institutional agreement, it is recommended you submit with an email domain affiliated to your institution. When submitting your article, please select ‘Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences’ under the Institutional Agreements menu in the invoice section.   Halmstad University (Högskolan i Halmstad) supports their authors in publishing open access. As part of this support, eligible authors from the Halmstad University will benefit from a 10% discount under the terms of the Sweden Open Access Publishing Framework Agreement. Eligible authors are corresponding authors of a given article affiliated with Halmstad University. Information for authors To submit your article under this institutional agreement, it is recommended you submit with an email domain affiliated to your institution. When submitting your article, please select ‘Halmstad University’ under the Institutional Agreements menu in the invoice section. Frontiers and the Mid Sweden University form open access publishing agreement

Under the terms of the Sweden Open Access Publishing Framework Agreement, the Mid Sweden University (Mittuniversitetet) will cover Article Publishing Fees for eligible authors in any of the Frontiers journals. Eligible authors are corresponding authors of a given article who meet the funding criteria of the Mid Sweden University. Eligible authors will benefit from streamlined submission and invoicing processes, managed directly between Frontiers and the Open Access team at the Mid Sweden University Library, relieving authors of the responsibility of payment. Under this agreement, the Library will receive a discount of 10% on any article covered. With the Mid Sweden University joining the framework agreement, authors will be further encouraged to publish open access, increasing uptake of open access to the results of mostly publicly funded research, to the benefit of the scholarly community and the public at large, while reducing costs.   Information for authors: To submit your article under this institutional agreement, it is recommended you submit with an email domain affiliated to your institution. University of Helsinki and Frontiers form open access publishing agreement

The University of Helsinki (Helsingin yliopisto; UH) will be covering Article Publishing Fees for corresponding authors affiliated with the University, including HU Central Hospital, in any of the Frontiers journals. Frontiers and King’s College London form Open Access publishing agreement

 We are delighted to announce that King’s College London (KCL) has established an institutional agreement for open access publishing with Frontiers. King’s College London supports its researchers in making their research more widely available. As part of this support, King’s Library Services has entered into an institutional agreement with Frontiers. Under the terms of this agreement, eligible authors from King’s may publish in any Frontiers journal at no cost to the author, and with a simplified process. Eligible authors include: King’s authors of articles coming out of COAF-funded research (Arthritis Research UK, Bloodwise, British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK, Parkinson’s UK and the Wellcome Trust) and where the grant is held at King’s; King’s authors of articles coming out of research funded by RCUK/UKRI (UK Research and Innovation) (AHRC, BBSRC, EPSRC, ESRC, MRC, NERC, STFC) and where the grant is held at King’s Eligible authors will benefit from streamlined submission and invoicing processes, managed directly between Frontiers and the Open Access team at King’s Library Services, relieving authors of the responsibility of payment. Frontiers and the GFZ Helmholtz Centre Potsdam form open access publishing agreement

We are delighted to announce that the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences (Helmholtz Centre Potsdam) has formed an open access publishing agreement with Frontiers. The GFZ covers Article Processing Charges (APCs) for affiliated corresponding authors who wish to publish in any Frontiers journal. The GFZ has become the 13th participating member in an agreement for open access publishing between the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres (Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft Deutscher Forschungszentren) and Frontiers. Eligible authors will benefit from a streamlined invoicing process, managed directly between Frontiers and the Open Access team at the GFZ Library, relieving authors of the responsibility of payment. Furthermore, the GFZ will benefit from a discount on Article Processing Charges (APCs) for articles covered by this agreement. Frontiers and the Friedrich-Schiller- Universität Jena form open access publishing agreement

We are delighted to announce that the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena (Friedrich Schiller University Jena; FSU) has established an institutional agreement for open access publishing with Frontiers. The Thuringian University and State Library (ThULB) serves as the research library for the Friedrich Schiller University Jena (FSU). Via the ThULB, the FSU supports its researchers in making their research more widely available including the possibility for eligible FSU authors to claim funding for covering article processing charges of open access articles. As part of this support, the ThULB has entered an institutional agreement with Frontiers. Under the terms of this agreement, eligible authors of the FSU may publish in Frontiers journals with a streamlined invoicing process managed between Frontiers and the ThULB. For manuscripts approved for funding by the ThULB, Frontiers grants a 10 % discount on the publication fees for articles processed as part of this agreement. Qatar National Library (QNL) supports open access publishing. As part of this support, QNL will cover the Article Processing Charges (APCs) for eligible authors from a Qatar-based research institution publishing in any Frontiers journal. Eligible authors include students, faculty, researchers and staff from any institute of higher education or non-profit research institute within Qatar. Frontiers and the Francis Crick Institute form open access publishing agreement

The Francis Crick Institute has established an institutional agreement for open access publishing with Frontiers. The Francis Crick Institute supports open access publishing by providing advice and assistance to Crick authors and by covering article-processing charges (APCs) for articles by Crick corresponding authors. As part of this support, core-funded research group leaders from the Francis Crick Institute can publish open access articles in any Frontiers journal at no charge to the author. All costs are covered by the Crick’s open access budget, managed by the Library & Information Services team. To submit your article under this institutional agreement, please select ‘Francis Crick Institute’ as the institutional payer in the invoice section when submitting your article. Frontiers and Lund University form open access publishing agreement

Under the terms of the Sweden Open Access Publishing Framework Agreement, Lund University (Lunds universitet) will cover Article Publishing Fees for eligible authors in any of the Frontiers journals. Eligible authors are corresponding authors of a given article who meet the funding criteria of Lund University. To submit your article under this institutional agreement, it is recommended you submit with an email domain affiliated to your institution. When submitting your article, please select ‘Lund University’ as the institutional payer in the invoice section. Frontiers will then verify your affiliation with Lund University Library, and if confirmed, the discounted invoice will be sent to the Library, who will bill your local cost centre for 50% of the remaining cost, provided that you have applied for and have been granted support from Lund University’s central APC fund.
