This article provides an overview of the sports structure and sports policies in Austria providing a comprehensive analysis of existing frameworks and shedding light on potential future developments. The research delves into the historical evolution of sports policy in the country, examining key legislative milestones, institutional structures, and policy paradigms that have shaped the nation's approach to sports while using document analysis of regulatory regimes and national policy documents as research methodology involved. Starting from a historical outline, the paper examines the structure, main stakeholders, and constituents of the Austrian sports system involving an in-depth examination of the legal and regulatory frameworks governing sports at both the national and regional levels.ß0pThe paper concludes with emerging trends, potential areas for improvement, and the integration of innovative approaches to address contemporary issues contributing valuable insights to the discourse on sports policy in Austria.
