Unique models of embodied cognition and eco-social niches proposed to validate hypothesis of social attunement and mis attunement with focus on Autism

    This paper * uses basic concepts of embodied cognition 1 , based on the idea that the biology of the brain is impacted by the physics of movement and the interacting physical objects as well as biological markets or competition [2,69,85]. These concepts are leveraged to explain the emergence of autism features and characteristics through multiple hypotheses using hidden states 2 and eco-social niche 3 [3,1]. We begin by defining cognitive granularity 4 , which forms the basis of our embodied cognition hypotheses [4,5]. These hypotheses leverage cognitive psychology 28 concepts to distinguish three dyads-Resource Proxy 24 , Executor 9 , and Evaluator 10 -each with different sensorimotor skills 6 for action control 7 and action perception 8 [6,7]. Each of these dyads interacts with the environment in physically distinct and beneficial ways leading to iterative honing of the dyads individual skills -dialects of internalization 26 and externalization 27 [4,1]. Collectively these interacting dyads further form the basis of social attunement and mis attunement -dialects of individual and collective [1]. The social attunement hypotheses apply economic concepts of supply 11 / demand curve 12 and Nash equilibrium 13 or game theory [8,9] to the evolving human (hominin 14 ) biological market to derive eco-social niches for modeling the underlying neurotypical dyads -* Please refer to the glossary at the end of the document for detailed definitions for embodied cognition 1 ,hidden states 2 , eco-social niche 3 ,cognitive granularity 4 , sensorimotor-skills 6 , action perception 7 , action control 8 , Executor 9 , Evaluator 10 ,Resource Proxy 24 , supply curve 11 , demand curve 12 , Nash equilibrium 13 , hominin 14 ,Internalization 26 , externalization 27 , cognitive psychology 28 2 Executor and Evaluator. We hypothesize that insufficient sensorimotor integration within a dyad impedes proper participation in the eco-social niche, leading to psychiatric issues [10]. In our model, this mis-attunement is reflected in the characteristics of the Resource Proxy and extreme Evaluator dyads.
