Plant virus nanoparticles are promising candidates for the development of novel materials, including nanocomposites and scaffolds/carriers for functional molecules such as enzymes. Their advantages for enzyme immobilization include a modular organization, a robust and programmable structure, and a simple, cost-effective production.
