The objective of this study is to explore the association between hypovitaminosis and recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS), with a specific focus on identifying the clinical and biochemical manifestations of vitamin deficiencies-particularly involving vitamins B12, C, and folate-in patients with RAS. This review aims to emphasize the role of hypovitaminosis as a potential contributing factor in RAS and to provide insights into the diagnostic and therapeutic implications of identifying vitamin deficiencies in affected individuals.
