Surgery coupled with adjuvant platinum-based chemotherapy is the current standard of therapy for BC. However, the proportion of patients still has the progressive disease after treatment, which tends to chemotherapy resistance, and has a poor prognosis. As a result, identifying novel treatment targets is critical. The hippo-YAP pathway is a crucial regulator of stem cells and cancer cells, which is linked to the incidence and progression of a variety of cancers. Here, we summarize the evidence that some dysregulation of the Hippo-YAP pathways induced the occurrence, recurrence, progression, and chemotherapy resistance of BC, and emphasize the role of the Hippo-YAP pathway in regulating bladder cancer stem-like cells (BCSCs). Finally, we prospect Hippo-YAP as a potential therapeutic target for BC.
