The journal retracts the 26 July 2022 article cited above.
Following publication, the authors submitted a correction noting that there had been a miscalculation in the carbon stock data in the original article. The findings reported in the article are no longer supported by the analyses. An investigation was conducted in accordance with Frontiers’ policies that confirmed this; therefore, the article has been retracted.
