Background: Vision loss due to high fasting plasma glucose (HFG) represents a growing global health challenge. This study comprehensively examines temporal trends, regional disparities, and future projections of Disability-Adjusted Life Years (DALYs) attributed to HFG from 1990 to 2021. Methods: Using data from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2021 database, we analyzed DALYs across 204 countries, stratified by gender, age, and Sociodemographic Index (SDI). Temporal trends were evaluated using Joinpoint regression, and future burden was projected through ARIMA modeling for 2021-2035. Uncertainty intervals (UIs) were calculated to ensure robustness.
