The relationship between solution-focused thinking and academic procrastination in middle school students: a moderated mediation effect test

    A CiteSpace visual analysis was conducted to understand the current status and research trends of Focused Solution Thinking at home and abroad, and to examine the applicability of the Focused Solution Thinking Scale to the Chinese junior high school student population, in order to provide an effective tool for the measurement of junior high school students' Focused Solution Thinking. At the same time, a moderated mediation model was proposed to examine the mediating effect of self-control between Focused Solution Thinking and academic procrastination and the moderating effect of psychological capital. Firstly, the Focused Solution Thinking Scale (Chinese version) was used to test the applicability of the scale to 223 junior high school students; secondly, a moderated mediation model was established with Focused Solution Thinking as the independent variable, Academic Procrastination as the dependent variable, Self-Control as the mediator, and Psychological Capital as the moderator, and a moderated mediation model was developed using the Focused Solution Thinking Scale (Chinese version), the Academic Procrastination Questionnaire for Middle School Students, the Self-Control Scale, the Psychological Capital Scale, and the Psychological Capital Scale. Focused Solution Thinking Scale (Chinese version), Self-Control Questionnaire for Middle School Students, Self-Control Scale and Psychological Capital Questionnaire for 1006 middle school students, and used SPSS25.0 statistical software, AMOS22.0 software and PROCESS3.3 plug-in to analyse and study the valid data.
