This study presents a methodological framework for assessing the effectiveness of architectural design studio facilities, illustrated through a post-occupancy assessment case study. The methodology comprises multiple phases, including a review of existing research on the significance of architectural studios for architecture students and the role of post-occupancy evaluation in educational environments. A case study at Onaizah Colleges in Qassim, Saudi Arabia, utilized various data collection methods such as walkthrough inspections, interviews, and questionnaires. The findings reveal a multi-stage framework focused on establishing performance criteria for architectural studios. Key components were identified across functional, technical, and behavioral aspects and categorized into ten groups. This study emphasizes that the effectiveness of architectural education heavily relies on the comfort of studio spaces. The originality of this work lies in providing a structured approach to assess the essential performance needs of architectural design studios. This framework serves as a valuable tool for space planners, designers, facility administrators, and administrators participating in the planning and administration of these spaces, enhancing the overall educational experience for architecture students.
