5th National and 1st International Symposium of Italian Society of Oral Pathology and Medicine

SIPMO, the Italian Society of Oral Pathology and Medicine is pleased to announce the abstract book of the "5th National and 1st International Symposium SIPMO", which had taken place in Ancona, at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the Marche Polytechnic University, on October 19th and 20th 2018. Since SIPMO is the Italian reference for oral pathology and medicine, its mission has always been to provide an updated and multidisciplinary approach to achieve and maintain oral health. Indeed, the Symposium have seen the participation of all the Italian Schools of Oral Medicine, as well as international ones. All these distinguished speakers, each representing different fields in diagnosis and treatment of oral diseases, brought their renowned knowledge and expertise providing lectures about the state of the art and future developments in oral medicine, with an emphasis on the patho-physiology of oral conditions and medical therapies. Given the considerable relevance of these themes, this event was designed to address several health professions, such as dentists, physicians and dental hygienists. These two days to scientific updating have been completed by a poster section, that has been held during the conference, offering the opportunity to researchers and clinicians to present and discuss their researches encompassing arguments like saliva and oral microbial flora.
