The 5th International Neuroergonomics Conference was held on July 8-12, 2024, in the historical city of Bordeaux (UNESCO World Heritage), France, following the success of the previous Neuroergonomics editions. Showcasing a wide range of neurotechnologies, the conference featured 12 pre-conference workshops and training sessions, along with over 110 technical paper presentations. The event covered diverse disciplines including neuroscience, neuroengineering, psychology, critical care, well-being, and applications in everyday life. Innovations presented included revolutionary invasive devices, targeted non-invasive techniques, and wearable technologies. Participants explored how these technologies enhance performance across various populations—including operators, patients with impairments, the elderly, and athletes. The conference also delved into cutting-edge concepts such as brain-computer interfaces, neurofeedback, neurostimulation, and mixed and virtual reality technologies. By incorporating a diverse lineup of speakers and topics, including internationally renowned invited speakers, the 2024 Neuroergonomics program aimed to foster a culture of collaboration that encourages the exchange of fresh ideas and facilitates meaningful connections. This booklet presents the extended abstracts presented at the conference and serves as a testament to the dynamism and richness of the neuroergonomics community.
