In the published article, there was an error regarding the affiliations for all authors. As well as having affiliation 1, they should also have “2NHC Key Laboratory of Clinical Nephrology (Sun Yat-sen University) and Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Nephrology, Guangzhou, China”.

The author Ming Li should also have “3Division of Nephrology, Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital, Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences, Guangzhou, China”.

The authors apologize for this error and state that this does not change the scientific conclusions of the article in any way. The original article has been updated.
