The Human Brain Project SP5: Neuroinformatics

The Human Brain Projects's sub-project five: Neuroinformatics Platform will ready project data for the simulation.

The Neuroinformatics platform will offer new tools for the construction of multi-level brain atlases and for the analysis and interpretation of large volumes of structural and functional data. The HBP will use these tools to develop detailed multi-level atlases of the rodent and human brains, bringing together data from the literature, and from on-going research, and providing a single source of annotated, high quality data for the HBP modelling effort and for the international neuroscience community.

The platform will also support Predictive Neuroinformatics making it possible to predict parameters where experimental data is not yet available and to test and calibrate model implementations.
