Special Topics

WHAT ARE FRONTIERS SPECIAL TOPICS?

Frontiers launched a new section to allow publishing of "Special Topics". Special Topics are centered on grand challenges, new developments and hot topics in a particular field. They are published as a collection of at least ten articles, which can be original research, review, hypothesis and theory, commentary, perspective, or methods articles. Please note that only original research articles can climb a tier.

Example of a Special Topic:
"Python in Neuroscience" in Frontiers in Neuroinformatics
