The work presented here highlights the diversity of research performed across the entire breadth of Plant Redox Biology research and presents advances in theory, experiment, and methodology with applications to compelling problems.
At present, less than 30% of researchers worldwide are women. Long-standing biases and gender stereotypes are discouraging women away from science-related fields, and STEM research in particular. Science and gender equality are, however, essential to ensure sustainable development as highlighted by UNESCO. In order to change traditional mindsets, gender equality must be promoted, stereotypes defeated, and women should be encouraged to pursue STEM careers.
Therefore, Frontiers in Plant Science is proud to offer this platform to an all-women editorial board to assemble a collection of articles in all fields of Plant Abiotic Stress. We welcome article submissions from everyone.
Our female members of the community will have the opportunity to lead an article collection together. Bringing these teams on a highly visible Open Acces platform will increase their visibility, boost their collaboration and networking.
Although, we particularly encourage the submission of original research articles, other formats are welcome.
