Brief Biography
Ilya Zaslavsky directs Spatial Information Systems Lab at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. He holds Ph.D. degrees from the Russian Academy of Sciences (1990) and the University of Washington (1995). His main interests are in geographic information systems, spatial information integration, management of observations data, online mapping, and medical applications of spatial information systems. Since 2000, he has been involved in development of spatial information infrastructure for neuroscience data, and online brain atlases.
